The Summit, an Evangelical Free Church, was founded in 1987 and conducted its first service on Easter Sunday of that year. From then, the congregation moved through four different locations in town before arriving in 1998 at its current location on Roosevelt Avenue. Volunteers from the Church worked to refashion the building from that of a bowling alley (the site's former tenant) to the Church facility that stands today.
Through ministries specifically tailored toward children, high school students, men and women, Church members have a number of opportunities to expand their experience at The Summit beyond weekly services.
