History
The Old Hotel was built during the winter of 1911-12, when the town incorporated in 1910, received four through trains daily on the tracks newly laid by Chicago/Milwaukee/St.Paul & Pacific Railroad. Two 12- hour roundhouse shifts and the frequent train crew changes required all the clean beds and plain food the town could offer. In 1975, The Old Hotel incorporated as nonprofit group encouraging the arts and arts education in the community. The building has become the last remaining original railroad associated structure. In 2000, The Old Hotel was placed on the Washington State Register of Historic Places.
