Established in 1896, the Children's Home Society of Washington is a full-service community mental health organization. It offers pre- and post-adoption counseling, search assistance and educational services to birth and adoptive parents. The organization also provides case management and supportive services, as well as parent training and children nurture programs. It offers the Foster Care Assessment Program, which is operated by the Department of Social and Health Services and Children's Administration, as well as medical services in partnership with the Regional Medical Center.
