Stemilt Growers is a privately owned fresh tree fruit grower, packer and shipper established by Tom Mathison in 1960. The Mathison family has been in the business of producing tree fruits since 1914 when the family s first orchards were established near Wenatchee, Wash., on Stemilt Hill. The company is owned by the Mathison family with five packing facilities in Washington and one in Stockton, Calif. Stemilt Growers is one of the largest fresh cherry companies in the United States, as well as a provider of apples, pears and organic fruits. Stemilt Growers products are shipped throughout the Northwest to grocery stores and other resellers of organic fruit.
