Snohomish County Fire District 1 is one of the largest fire districts in Washington. It offers a range of emergency management and medical services. The district serves more than 150,000 residents of southern Snohomish County in Washington in an area of over 35 square miles. It maintains nearly five fire stations and employs a staff of approximately 160 people. The district serves 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Snohomish County Fire District 1 responds to hazardous materials and conducts technical rescue operations. Snohomish County Fire District 1 has been in operation since 1929 and operates fire prevention and safety programs.
