History
After practicing as a pharmacist for 12 years Tara decided that she wanted to change her approach to wellness. She started Soulful Medicine as a way to empower women to heal. The opportunity to find health isn't in the quick fix, it is in the deep work. Something that most people need is a guide to help them along the journey. As a health coach I have the privilege of showing people how powerful they are in creating wellness in their own lives.
Specialties
As a Mind Body Nutrition Coach I work with women and teenage girls that struggle to find a healthy relationship with food, body and self. Our wellbeing is SO much more than the food we eat or the shape of our bodies. My deepest desire as a coach is to help guide women to a place of freedom from food confusion and body hate, to a place of self-acceptance and the ability to nurture and care for oneself. My approach looks beyond basic food-based nutrition and instead focuses on an understanding of your specific mind body relationship. We discover how thoughts, feelings and beliefs impact nutritional metabolism and health. This is an exploration between brain, body and behavior. Health isn't just about what we eat, but who we are as eaters. I also use a positive, empowering and transformational approach that's designed for anyone who eats. Dynamic Eating Psychology sees our challenges with eating, weight and health not as an indication that we're broken, but as a beautiful opportunity to grow and evolve. It recognizes that our challenges with eating, weight and health are intimately connected to life as a whole: relationships, family, work, sexuality, our search for meaning and fulfillment, and so much more.
