History
I am a licensed midwife in Washington, and also at a national level. I am a wife, and mother of 5. As long as I can remember I have had a strong interest in pregnancy, childbirth and babies. After the birth of my twins in 1992, I heard the call to midwifery and attended Seattle Midwifery School. I graduated in December of 1999. A great way to start a new Millennium! As I head into my mid-forties I am honored to teach others what I have learned in my mothering years about natural birth, midwifery, baby care, parenting and alternative education. I have learned great respect for women and their ability to birth their babies in their own way in their own time. I see my job as maintaining a balance between assistance, monitoring, and supporting, while allowing the process of birth to unfold with little outside interference (from me or anyone else).
