Foster Senior High School, located in Tukwila, Wash., is part of Tukwila School District. A college preparatory academic institution, it encourages students to improve the basic skills they developed in elementary and middle schools, while exploring new talents. It enrolls more than 750 students and offers classes from grades nine through 12. Its subjects include science, mathematics, English, social studies, physical education and health. These courses are augmented by elective subjects, including art, music, computers and career education. Its library media center program is designed to meet the challenges that students face as they become effective users of ideas and information. Students at Foster Senior High School can participate in many extracurricular activities that enhance their educational experience, including drama, science and math clubs, field trips, scholastic art show and yearbook.
