Educational Service District 105, based in Yakima, Wash., supports more than 25 public school districts and state-approved private and tribal schools in four counties of south central Washington. It coordinates conducts cooperative programs for the needs of more than 58,000 students and is one of the nine ESDs in the state of Washington. It carries out liaison activities between local school districts, the Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction and the State Board of Education. Educational Service District 105 focuses its services on building skills for transportation coordinators, technology staff, education directors, elementary teachers of science and mathematics, counselors, nursing and substance abuse prevention staff, and leaders responsible for improving student learning.
