Redmond Public Works is responsible for the transportation, water, sewer and storm water infrastructure systems of Redmond, Wash. The department also manages environmental services, including enhancements to the waterways, drinking water and recycling and garbage programs. Redmond Public works takes bids and private development projects for construction. It also sees to environmental and natural resource concerns, including car washing, conservation education, drinking water, recycling, reporting spills and volunteer opportunities. Permits for buildings, hydrant, right of way, side sewer, special events, water meter and temporary construction discharge are also the responsibility of the public works department.
