The Public Utility District 1 of Lewis County is a municipal corporation of the state of Washington and provides a range of electrical energy services. It offers electric services to more than 30,000 customers in Pierce and Lewis counties in Washington. The district owns and operates the Cowlitz Falls Project, which produces an average of over 260,000 megawatt hours (Mwhrs) every year. The Public Utility District 1 of Lewis County operates various public recreation facilities. The district maintains an operations center that is responsible for its line construction, tree trimming, vehicle maintenance and dispatching services. The Public Utility District 1 of Lewis County administers a conservation program that features rebates for a variety of industrial applications and processes, including compressed air systems, dryers, motor controllers and pumps.
