We took our kids here today and they all had a great time! Ages 16, 8, 7, & 3 and there were plenty of activities for all of them! The staff were all very nice and definitely enjoy their jobs....

Puyallup Historical Society-Meeker Mansion

The historic Meeker Mansion was one of the homes of the first mayors of Puyallup, Ezra Meeker. He built it for his wife, Eliza Jane, after taking her on a trip to Europe, as she enjoyed the Victorian houses and wanted her own. Meeker built it for her on their three-acre property. It was finished by 1890 and took two and a half years to complete. At Meeker Mansion, you can see what life was like in the pioneer days, enjoy a film that shows Ezra crossing a river on a boat made from a covered wagon, and check out the ceiling tiles that were specifically painted to look like the sky above the home. There are books, postcards and sweatshirts from around the area for sale. Meeker Mansion also is a venue for parties and weddings, plus it offers tea specials and tours.
