Pikake School's earlychildhood curriculum is based on the Montessori Method, and is inspired by Reggio Emilia approach and new educational research methods. We provide Montessori program in 2 different language options (English, Japanese, or both). Also there are options from 2 days to 5 days to choose. Our class size is intentionally small so that students can receive the time and attention they deserve in a structured and open learning space. We provide a low teacher to student ratio so that all children have plenty of access to encouragement and guidance from their teachers. We have a home like feeling that is warm and charming. Our school is equipped with an art studio, a music room, and a large and beautiful children's backyard. We prepare the child-centered environment carefully where the children can feel they are loved, appreciated and valued just as they should. Pikake School believes that children are powerful, rich and capable. Childhood is the crucial time when children build a foundation for their future and they begin to paint their life on their own canvas. We feel childhood is the culmination of precious moments all combined and we would like to support children by providing a nurturing environment, guiding them, and honoring their curiosity, discovery, and imagination.
