Peninsula High School, established in 1947, is a public high school offering educational instruction to students in grades nine through 12. The school has an enrollment of more than 1,500 students and is a part of the Peninsula School District. The facility comprises more than 30 general classrooms, science laboratory, special education rooms, art laboratories, music rooms, library-media center, computer lab, auditorium, pool and gym. It offers classes in various subjects, including fine, visual and performing arts, consumer living, technology, English, math, occupational education, health, science, social studies and physical education. The school has sports teams in cross country, football, tennis, soccer, swimming and diving, volleyball, baseball, golf, water polo, wrestling, basketball, bowling, and track and field. It also offers various extracurricular activities, such as environmental club, band, photo club, yearbook, choir, debate and newspaper. Peninsula High School is located in Gig Harbor, Wash.
