Federal Way High School
Federal Way High School, established in 1938, is a public secondary school located in Federal Way, Wash. It is a part of Federal Way Public Schools District, and offers extensive preadvanced and advanced placement programs to students in grades nine through 12. It provides advanced placement courses in various subjects, including calculus, American history, biology, world history, English, chemistry, and physics. The preadvanced placement programs offered by the school include history of Pacific region, English, world history, freshman science and biology. It also offers the Advancement Via Individual Determination and Air Force Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps programs. Its career and technical education department provides courses in American Sign Language, auto mechanics, business education, careers with children, commercial art, design technology, marketing, photography, sports medicine and woodworking. It also provides special education, counseling, nutrition, health and transportation services, and various athletic options. The school s activities include bands, choirs and cheer, drama and dance team. It also has clubs, such as eagle credit union, poetry and Pacific islander clubs.
