Established in 1948, the Lacey Fire District is one of the largest, independent fire districts in Washington. The district offers fire suppression, rescue and emergency medical services for residents. It preserves and protects residents lives and their properties. The district maintains an operations division that provides a range of fire-related services for the community. The Lacey Fire District performs regular code compliance inspections. The district responds to more than 2,700 rescue calls every year. In addition, it responds to medical, hazardous materials, vehicle extrication and other incident calls. The Lacey Fire District employs a staff of over 140 individuals and volunteers. The district maintains a location in Lacey, Wash.
