Located in Kirkland, Wash., International Community School has an enrollment of more than 300 students in grades 7 through 12. Founded in 1997, its educational programs focus in the areas of humanities, international studies, art, science, mathematics and Spanish. The school also promotes students participation in programs and organizations, such as National History Day, Future Business Leaders of America and Model United Nations. International Community School conducts various extracurricular activities and enrichment events. In addition, it maintains a library that houses a range of curriculum-related books, periodicals, reference guides and leisure reading options. The school is operated by Lake Washington School District 414, which maintains more than 40 educational campuses and serves over 20,000 students in kindergarten through grade 12.
