Operational for more than 60 years, the Grant County Public Utility District is a municipal corporation that offers a range of electric services. The district generates and sells electricity to the residents Grant County in Washington. It produces over 1,900 megawatts of renewable electricity. The district is responsible for the protection, mitigation and enhancement of salmon, steelhead and other natural and cultural resources. It supports, protects and enhances its members ability to provide nonprofit and locally controlled utility services for the residents of Washington. The Grant County Public Utility District is comprised of various commissioners and managers of public utility districts in the state.
