HistoryFormed in April 1990, Homes First! grew out of a task force concerned about the homeless, whose members joined with other community residents concerned about the problem of affordable housing. Homes First! is now working to increase the supply of affordable housing for community members in need.SpecialtiesSince 1990, Homes First! has been acquiring, renovating, and preserving affordable rental housing for low income families, individuals, and people with special needs. Currently we own and manage 42 rental units. Income from rents goes to maintain the housing, provide staff oversight, and help fund future affordable housing projects.
