This gym is the labor of love of owner, Amy Jae Springer. Opened in 2008, Extreme Fitness is located in the basement level of the Symetra building. This is not your big national chain gym. It is a small, personal fitness studio where clients can get personal training. You can purchase a membership, or get a punch card for drop-in classes and workouts. It provides what might be the most inexpensive and focused personal training on the Eastside. It also features a fast-paced 30-minute workout that will get you in and out, and back to work, with no excuses about lack of time. There are a variety of classes, ranging from kickboxing to yoga, and there are two to three trainers on the floor at any given time. You can also get a massage on-site. Add in full-towel service, a sauna and a kid's room, and this might be downtown Bellevue's biggest fitness secret.
