Creative, Energetic, and a busy bee are all words that have been used to describe me. I’m Sandy, owner and creator of E.K. Farms. The story starts long before I lived here, my parents Eugene Kenneth and Mary purchased the 20-acre farm in the Columbia Heights area of Longview over 37 years ago; while most of the landscape remains the same as it did when my parents were here, a new farmhouse was built in 2016 bringing new life back to the property. I know my parents would be proud and I wanted to honor my father who worked so hard on this land, and that is how E.K. (Eugene Kenneth) Farms was born. I believe in trying to create a life of self-sustainability, I own 15 Nigerian goats who are all my “other” children, raise our cattle, and free-range chickens, and have a very large garden that keeps me busy all summer long! I love to can the vegetables that I grow and use the goat's milk to craft soaps, feta cheese, cultured buttermilk, and lotions. There are never dull moments here on the farm, there is always something going on; I find passion and joy in creating things with my own hands that better the lives of my family and friends.
