The Bellevue Planning & Community Development Department is responsible for enforcing regulations, including nuisance, sign, construction and land use codes set for the community by the city council. It offers a neighborhood match program that includes providing city capital funds for small-scale projects, such as landscaping and public art at neighborhood entrances. In addition, the department offers a mediation program that includes dispute resolution services for merchants and consumers; landlords and tenants; parents and their teenagers; and work groups. Its arts program provides funding support for arts groups working in Bellevue, Wash., cultural planning and other arts services.
