History
Chico Towing began in 1945 on a small highway connecting Bremerton and Silverdale. Now a third generation business serving Kitsap County, Chico Towing was started by Donald Tucker as an automotive service shop serving vehicle owners in Bremerton and Silverdale. The stretch of road connecting Bremerton and Silverdale was well travelled by ship yard workers commuting between East and West Bremerton. Prior to the construction of the Manette Bridge connecting East and West Bremerton, workers drove through Silverdale on their commute to work. Many residents of Kitsap County remember buying ice cream or soda from Don's father Harry at the little store in the Chico Service Station. Children looked forward to their walk to the store to buy soda out of the little cooler with the opener on the side. Stacey still has the original mechanical calculator grandpa Harry used to tally the receipts .
