History
The Hjertoos Farm, with its prominent dairy barn and large late-Victorian farmhouse, was developed by my great-grandparents who arrived in the lower Snoqualmie Valley from Norway in the 1880s among a wave of settlers. The core of the historic farm property remains in our family and is currently listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Carnation Tree Farm was started in 1979 with the planting of our first crop of trees. Over the years I have restored the house and barn to near original condition.
Specialties
From our first years in business, customer service and high quality trees have always been our goal and has served us well in the past 34 years. In 2018 the Tolt Historical Society Museum moved into the Hjertoos house and will be open on weekends during the tree selling season.
