A fixture here for more than 50 years, Lakewood Gallery and Framing is an art gallery that offers framing and art conservation services. It displays paintings, prints and sculpture —even some ironwork— in a variety of prices and styles. However, tthe hallmark of the shop is its framing service. There are hundreds of styles of frames and mattes in stock, as well as museum-quality materials, such as acid-free mattes and ultraviolet-free glass. The gallery also makes custom shadowbox frames for such treasures as military awards and family heirlooms. Co-owners Jan Giroux and Holly Brown also make house calls to advise on art presentation and hanging.
