HistoryOrchid Cleaners was started in 1951 by Press Larson. A couple of years later he sold it to his brother in-law Everrett Ball. Everrett ran the business untill 1987 when my father and I bought it. We had owned other cleaners in the area before, including Longview Norge, (now Village Cleaners) Kelso Norge, (now Kelso Cleaners) and South Pacific Laundry. We sold Longview Norge and South Pacific Laundry in the early 80's, and ran the Kelso Norge untill 1997 when my brother Brian bought it from our company. Orchid Cleaners is a family owned and operated business, with my wife Keli, myself, and our 3 daughters who help us. I have been in the laundry and cleaning business since 1975, starting with mopping floors, fixing machines, to pre-spotting and cleaning clothes. With over 30 years of experience, I have a good idea of what it takes to do the best job possible.SpecialtiesWe specialize in Wedding Gowns and Formal Dresses. We can clean, press, preserve, or any combination of these services. We use organic solvent which doesn't react with plastics such as beads, sequins, and some buttons. Other cleaners in the area use a sythetic solvent that can ruin beads and sequins. Our cleaning system is very gentle on all fabrics including silk. Our services also include shirts laundered or dry cleaned, expert drapery cleaning and finishing, leather cleaning, pillow refurbishing,rugs, bedding and pretty much anything that can be cleaned.
