The company supports various children's welfare organizations and programs. It also designs and implements recognized programs for educating associates about federal support plans. Additionally, it partners with the United Way and other national organizations. Save-A-Lot operates a location in Norfolk, Va. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of SUPERVALU, a Fortune 100 company and one of the largest grocery retailing companies in the United States.
