HistoryIt started in 1953 when eight employees of the Martinsville DuPont Nylon Plant came together to form Martinsville DuPont Employees Credit Union. Through the vision of those early founders, the Credit Union prospered and continued to grow despite the plant's closure in 1998. Because of this history of strength and stability, we are now poised for the next era of success. We are proud of where we have been and we are excited for what is ahead. In the spring of 2015 Martinsville DuPont CU became Valleystar Credit Union. Now a community charter, Valleystar CU can serve our communities better.
