Founded in 1819, University of Virginia is a public educational institution located in Charlottesville, Va. The university offers more than 50 bachelor s degrees, over 80 master s degrees, educational specialist degrees and nearly 50 doctoral degrees. It organizes a range of athletic events that include cross country, baseball, basketball, football, golf, lacrosse, soccer, swimming, tennis, track, field hockey and wrestling.
