Sweet Roux was developed over the course of many years with the input and help of many people, although ultimately it is the brain child of Rene Campos, the lead chef. After moving to Culpeper over 4 years ago from the larger Fredericksburg, he quickly noticed the limited selection of restaurants and cuisines available in Culpeper. SR is an expression of our chef's favorite cuisines wrapped in American flair and designed to fill one of the voids in Culpeper's dining scene, which is high quality, homemade food at an affordable price. Fine dining, fast food, casual chains, local delis, bars, food trucks, all here, but we wanted to bring something new and fresh. Our motto is that food should be fun and exciting and dining out should be an experience. We make homemade food with fine dining qualities at a casual price.
