Founded in 1960, South East Rural Community Assistance Project provides water and wastewater system upgradation services for rural areas and communities. The project also offers training and technical assistance services for the operation and maintenance of water systems. It provides grants and loans for individuals and communities. South East Rural Community Assistance Project offers housing rehabilitation programs and construction services for water and wastewater infrastructures. The project also assists small business and financial development projects for rural governments. In addition, it serves the states of Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida. South East Rural Community Assistance Project supplies water to more than 450,000 residents.
