Steps, located in Victoria, Va., is a private, nonprofit organization that provides job training for individuals with disabilities and welfare recipients to become fully integrated, tax paying members of their local communities. Steps has received accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities for various programs, such as employment and planning, employee development, organizational employment, job development, job-site training and job support. It provides and assists temporary assistance to needy families with job placement, retention, and support to become financially independent. Its funding sources include the Workforce Investment Board and the Department of Social Services in Virginia.
