Patrick Henry Community College is a two-year institution approved by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. It is also a member of the Virginia Community College System and American Association of Community Colleges. It offers more than 25 associates degree programs, several certificate programs and over 50 career studies programs. The college also offers a variety of nontraditional programs, such as customized work force development training, industrial certifications, literacy and English as a second language classes, developmental and personal enrichment courses and general equivalency diploma programs. The college also offers undergraduate and graduate programs through distance learning. Additionally, it offers courses in various subjects, including general studies, allied health, information systems technology, administration of justice and nursing. The college was established in 1962, and is located in Martinsville, Va.
