History
Dr. Norman Harris was raised in Kansas, graduating with distinction from Kansas University in 1980. He graduated from the University of Kansas Medical School in 1984 and completed both his general surgery and plastic surgery residencies with honors at Kansas University in 1989. In 1990 he was the Microvascular / Hand Surgery Fellow at the Massachusetts General Hospital and an instructor in Surgery for Harvard Medical School, in Boston. He is Board Certified by The American Board of Plastic Surgery, Inc., and received a Certificate of Added Qualification in Hand Surgery from that board in 1995. Dr. Harris is an Active Member of The American Society of Plastic Surgeons and a Fellow of The American College of Surgeons. After 10 years of a private practice in Clearwater, Florida, Dr. Harris moved to Roanoke, Virginia, in 2000, where he is once again engaged in solo private practice.
