National Association of Secondary School Principals, established in 1916, is a nonprofit organization providing services to middle level and high school principals, assistant principals and aspiring school leaders throughout the United States. Located in Reston, Va., the organization provides members with professional research-based and peer-tested resources, and practical tools and materials they need to serve as school leaders. It promotes the intellectual growth, academic achievement, character development, leadership development and physical well-being of youth through its programs and student leadership services. The association sponsors the National Honor Society, the National Junior Honor Society and the National Association of Student Councils.
