Founded in 1954 as The Mount Vernon Community Park and Playground Association on eight acres of land donated by St. Luke's Episcopal Church, the current park sits on 13.2 acres of land located at the corner of Fairfax Road and Lafayette Drive. On Memorial Day weekend, the Board opens the park continuing over 50 years of continuous operation with a schedule of park sponsored children's and adult activities, NVSL Team Swimming and Adult and Children Tennis Teams. Additionally, we also sponsor other activities including aerobic classes and master swim.
