Mount Olive's roots took hold in Centreville over 120 years ago, when a group of black Fairfax County residents founded the Montezuma Baptist Church. A decade later, the church's name was changed to Mount Olive. The congregation currently worships at Centreville High School in Clifton, while construction takes place on a new, 52,000 square foot church. The new, 1,500 seat church will be completed in 2011 and have a daycare, an education department, a Christian library and bookstore and chapel.
