The Manassas Museum , established in 1974, commemorates the history of Old Town Manassas, particularly its role in the Civil War. 2011 is the sesquicentennial (150th) year of the War Between the States, and the Battle of First Manassas, a.k.a. Bull Run, clearly signifies the town's role in the fate of the nation.
