History
Lucky 13 was established in 2004 by owner and tattooer Brad Buehrle who was trained to tattoo in California before serving in the US Navy. After retiring, Buehrle founded Lucky 13 nearby the growing Virginia Commonwealth University Monroe Park campus. The business has since expanded from the original location to occupy the spacious studio at 1800 W. Broad St. The new, larger facility houses a staff of ten tattooists and four piercers with space for visiting guest artists.
