Loudoun County Assessor's Office

The Commissioner of Revenue is one of Loudoun County's constitutional officers, who oversees the assessment and taxation of property and all subjects of taxation at fair market value. This officer is elected by Loudoun County residents.

Loudoun County Mapping Office

The Loudoun County Board of Equalization is an independent body that reviews property assessments to ensure that they have been equalized with regards to similarly situated properties, and that they have been assessed at their fair market value on January 1 of the year in question. Property owners may appeal their assessments to this board if they believe their property assessment to be inaccurate, under Virginia law.

Loudoun County Youth Office

This department is responsible for maintaining the county's computerized mapping system. Maps and information on property, floodplains, soils, topography, zoning, streets, addresses and other information is available through the office's public information counter.
