Benjamin Franklin Middle School
Founded in 1977, Benjamin Franklin Middle School is located in Rocky Mount, Va., the school serves students from grades six through eight, and offers a wide range of subjects, which include art, science, social studies, math, English, music and business studies. It offers foreign language courses in various international languages, including French, Latin and Spanish. In addition, it provides support programs and courses, such as reading support, math lab and science tutorials. The school offers a wide range of co-curricular activities, such as chess club, dances, National Junior Honor Society, Odyssey of the Mind, spelling bee and gifted programs. It also offers various sports activities, such as basketball, tennis, wrestling, soccer and softball. Additionally, it provides a guidance department and medical clinic services. Benjamin Franklin Middle School is part of the Franklin County Public Schools.
