Established in 1896, The Lester Group has been a provider of lumber and home supply products throughout southwest Virginia for more than 100 years. The group s divisions and subsidiaries include Lester Properties, Lester Building Supply, Jim Carpenter Company and Fortress Wood Products, all in Virginia. Lester Properties manages and develops commercial, retail, residential and subdivision properties. Lester Building Supply and Jim Carpenter Company include two home centers in Fredericksburg and Martinsville, Va. Its Fortress Wood Products division offers pressure treatment of wood products. The Lester Group is headquartered in Martinsville.
