Latino Economic Development Corporation, also known as LEDC, is a private, nonprofit corporation. Founded in 1991, the organization serves low- and moderate-income Latinos and other underserved communities. It is a community-based economic development organization that operates through small business development, homeownership counseling and affordable housing preservation services. It is funded by the Montgomery County Department of Economic Development, Bank of America, McDonald's, Provident Bank, PNC Bank, Spring Creek Foundation, Citibank, Inter-American Development Bank and Women in Housing and Finance Foundation. The corporation is also supported by various community organizations, such as the Wheaton Business Innovation Center, Wheaton Regional Library and Wheaton-Kensington Chamber of Commerce. Latino Economic Development Corporation has its headquarters in Washington, D.C.
