Hard Times Café & Cue brings the Old West into the future. When you enter the cafe, you are welcomed by the Western theme and the smell of delicious chili. The Chili and Chili Macs are the star menu items. with four flavors to choose from; you can even get a free taste of each in order to select the one you like.
The rest of the menu features hamburgers and hot dogs, wings and nachos, steak and salads, ribs and the famous Chicken Alamo. A Wurlitzer juke box plays some of the great classics. Televisions are visible from every seat in the house, including the seats right at the kitchen line where customers can have the cooks take their order. The restaurant is kid-friendly, with a special menu for them.
The Cue area (smoking allowed) has eight pool tables and a multitude of video, arcade games and dartboards. A bar features a vast array of beer, including four microbrews (one exclusive to Hard Times), a nice selection of wines and liquor ranging from house to premium.
Happy hour is Monday through Thursday from 11am until 7pm, Friday from 11am until 8pm and Saturday from 11am until 3pm. Sunday specials vary by season. Every weeknight there is a free nacho bar from 4pm to 8pm. Of course, the food specials make the economy easier to bear. Monday: $5 burgers all day; Tuesday: $5 Chili Macs; Wednesday: Half-price wings; Thursday: Half-price boneless wings. In addition, you cannot beat free pool from Monday through Friday from 11am until 5pm. Hard Times hosts video poker tournaments every Tuesday from 7pm until 10pm. Karaoke is on Wednesday and live music is scheduled throughout the month.
