Wilde Lake High School
Wilde Lake High School, established in 1971, is a four-year secondary school located in Columbia, Md. The school offers educational instruction to students in grades nine through 12 and has an enrollment of more than 1,400 students. The school s colors are green, gold and white, and its mascot is the Wildcat. It offers classes in English, science, social studies, software applications, principles of business, American history, forensics, Spanish and French. The school has athletic teams for various sports, including soccer, volleyball, field hockey, basketball, wrestling, baseball, softball, lacrosse, tennis, indoor and outdoor track, cheerleading, football and cross country. It offers several extracurricular activities, such as Shakespeare club, National Art Honor Society, tapestry, animal awareness club, freshman class council, chorus, marching band and conservative students' club. The school also provides financial aid to eligible students. Wilde Lake High School is a part of the Howard County Public Schools.
