Founded in 1965, Frederick County Middle School serves students in grades six through eight. Its academic curriculum includes math, technology, art, reading, and health and physical education. The school also conducts classes in French and Spanish. Frederick County Middle School offers agriscience, instructional technology, English as a Second Language, and family and consumer science programs. It operates a cafeteria, library, and guidance and information technology departments. The school offers a range of special education programs for students with developmental disabilities. In addition, Frederick County Middle School operates a parent-teacher-student-organization. The school is governed by Frederick County Public Schools, which operates several middle, high and elementary schools.
