Established in 1961, Featherstone Elementary School has an annual enrollment of more than 450 students in kindergarten through grade five. It maintains various school organizations, including a student council, safety patrol and school choir. In addition, Featherstone Elementary School has a parent-teacher association that provides planning and implementation of a variety of fundraising activities for the benefit of the school. The school has a staff of over 35 full-time teachers and specialists who provide educational classes in a variety of subjects, such as English, basic skills, language arts, math, science, social studies, and health and physical education. Located in Woodbridge, Va., Featherstone Elementary School is administered by Prince William County Public Schools, which operates more than 85 schools with an enrollment of over 72,000 students.
