Fairfax Choral Society is a choral group in Northern Virginia. The group consists of seven ensembles and provides opportunities to choral singers ages pre-k to adult. Its mission is to promote and foster the art of choral music and to improve and advance the art form in the community. The adult chorus is comprised of about 120 volunteers and is conducted by Dr. Douglas Mears. This chorus has performed in collaboration with the Choral Arts Society, Fairfax Symphony and National Symphony Orchestra. Under the direction of Patrick Vaughn and Caroline Crocker, the youth chorus has approximately 180 singers in six performing groups and eleven classes and has performed for schools, church concerts, with the National Symphony Orchestra and at the White House.
