WELCOME to AVEC, INC AVEC, Inc is a minority-owned spin-off company from Virginia Tech dedicated principally to provide expert technical assistance to the industry in the field of analysis and control of noise and vibration of mechanical systems. The company was founded by Dr. Ricardo A. Burdisso in February 2002 as a spin-off from his research work as a Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech). AVEC has provided services to governmental agencies and companies such as NASA LaRC, JAXA (Japan), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (Mining Branch, PA), AAI Corporation (MD), Techsburg (VA), US Air Force (AEDC), Honeywell (AR), CENER (Spain), Michelin (SC), Ford Company (OH) among others.
