Chesterbrook United Methodist clings to a hillside just west of the Chesterbrook Shopping Center at the busy intersection of Kirby Road and Old Dominion Drive. The simplicity of this cozy church is a reminder of McLean's rural past. Chesterbrook was built in 1920 when McLean was still a dairy farm community. After World War II, suburban communities grew up around it. The church now serves a diverse congregation of longtime McLean residents as well as newcomers who've purchased the expensive large homes now surrounding the church.
